FAQ

Q: How is it determined what videographers I will have on my wedding day?

A: My Event Film is owned by David Nuttall and he is the lead videographer on all weddings.  In addition, he personally edits every film. For packages with two-videographers, David has a small team of talented cinematographers, from which one will be assigned to assist David on your wedding day.

Q: Do I have to commit to a specific package in order to secure the day?

A: Not at all! We understand that it's hard to determine coverage until you have a firm timeline of your day, which usually seems to come together about a month before the wedding day. We will guarantee our current packages/rates as they are when you book your wedding with us, so you can make a more informed decision on coverage when the time is right for you. Along with completing our booking form, we ask for a non-refundable deposit of $200 that can be paid by credit card, PayPal, or Venmo.

Q: How do you decide what is included in the Highlight Film?

A: First, we carefully go through all the footage from your day and cut out anything that is unusable. We then take into account the feel and "rhythm" of your day as we cut the very best moments to the music selected for your film. To ensure that nothing is missed, our Documentary and Cinematic packages include an Original Footage cut as bonus content. This video plays like a home movie with all original audio intact and minimal editing.

Q: Why do I get my final video on a flash drive versus DVD’s, etc.?

A: Having the original video file on a flash drive allows you to have your video in its original, highest quality HD format. With that, you are able to save your video to your computer and replicate your video as many times as you want in whatever format your wish (blu-ray, DVD, etc.). If you are wanting DVDs and do not have the capability to produce them yourself, we would be happy to make them for you at an additional cost.

Q: Can I purchase additional hours of of coverage beyond the selected package package?

A: Yes! You can add hours of coverage to any package for an additional $150 an hour.
